The Fowlers first contacted House & Carriage in August 2021. They were preparing for their move from the Cotswolds to Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire. This very organised couple contacted us after spotting one of our vans completing a move in Burford. Giving us plenty of time to help them plan for their move which was towards the end of the year.

A Frosty Winter Move
After a day spent diligently loading the contents of the Fowler’s home onto the vans, everything was in place for a trip up North the following day. “All were brilliant!” “I was particularly impressed by Joe’s organisation and his tenacity in planning to ensure everything fitted onto the two of our vans. In the end there was room to spare!” says Justine (Joe has just celebrated 11 years with us!)
The trucks spent a night in the warmth of our warehouse. Then a cold, early start awaited the House & Carriage team for the journey to Mr & Mrs Fowler’s new home. Our wonderful team arrived bang on time in Yorkshire to start unloading. “I was also impressed by the time they set off in the morning on the second day and the early hour they arrived at our new address, and indeed, finished!” said Justine Fowler.
All the Fowlers possessions were unloaded from the vans and placed exactly where they wanted them. The team ensured to check throughout the day that everything was in its right place. In order to save the Fowlers having to move heavy furniture themselves once the team had left them in peace to settle in. Lastly, care and attention to detail was also noted by Justine. With nothing marking the walls, and managing to keep the carpets clean despite the wintery conditions underfoot.
After a long and busy day, our boys headed back down south, leaving the Fowlers set up in their new home, just in time for Christmas ?
